Victoria Kaskova
ABOUT ME
My name is Victoria Kaskova. I am a practicing psychologist and psychotherapist.
For many years I have been helping people cope with psychological problems, rebuild themselves and start living a new, happier life.
In my work, I adhere to a psychoanalytic approach. This allows me to analyze not only the current life context of the person seeking help, but also the underlying issues, fears, and anxieties that define that context.
I solve each problem not symptomatically, but at its root: I don’t deny its existence or suggest changing the attitude towards it, but I work through it together with the client, which leads to lasting changes.
I create a trusting space in which people can freely talk about their feelings, concerns, and experiences.
The most important things in a psychotherapist's work are honesty, professionalism, and the desire to help the client achieve their goals.
Write me an email, and we will arrange a time for an initial online consultation, during which we will try to understand together whether I can help you and how – through a series of psychoanalytic consultations (once a week for three to four months) or therapy (twice a week for one to two years).

PSYCHOANALYSIS
I was one of the first to study psychoanalysis in the post-Soviet space. This happened in 1995, when it was just beginning to be timidly taught as part of philosophy and cultural studies courses, and only later was it accorded a respectable place in the psychology department at Moscow State University and at leading medical schools graduating clinical psychologists.
While preparing my PhD dissertation at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences from 1997 to 2001, I continued to study Freud’s theory.
But full immersion occurred much later - in 2024 - when I had the opportunity to participate in supervisions with leading French and British psychoanalysts, whose contribution to the treatment of people with borderline and psychotic personality organization is recognized throughout the world: Alain Gibo, Donald Campbell, Vassilis Kapsambelis and René Roussillon.
Today I live in Estonia, run a private psychoanalytic practice and am working on a monograph dedicated to the metamorphoses of power.
